I want to ask, but I don’t want to be rude. No I’m not that kind of dude. I want to, just want to. How is your dad? I hear he’s doing real bad. But you’re still looking so glad, aren’t you? Well, aren’t you? I watched and waited silently. I heard you pray to infinity and you finished with a hurling cry: “If God is real, the fuck’s his deal? We suffer through our lives so we can all one day die.” When’s the last time you went? What have you been doing since then? Was your soul taken? How can you make some changes? Come try and pick up the pieces. Only you can work to change it. Only you can work to change it. Only you can work to change it. I want to ask, but I don’t want to be rude. No I’m not that kind of dude. I want to. You fall asleep your life repeats – a purgatory of twilight sleep consuming all the people in our lives. If God is real, the fuck’s his deal? We suffer through our lives, so that we can all one day die. You heard my say just yesterday that when you pray to infinity, that in the end it’s us that decide. If God is real, then time will heal. We suffer through our lives so that we can live, love, and lie. When’s the last time you went? What have you been doing since then? Was your soul taken? How can you make some changes? Come try and pick up the pieces. Only you can work to change it. Only you can work to change it. Only you can work to change it.

…then die. 03:54
You deleted all your pictures off of everything you own. You still keep your number in case someone you knew would phone. Haven’t dated once this year I could probably do better, but I find it all so fucking hollow - and that’s what they want you to think, but hold on and have a family. It will feel like eternity, but that’s what life is – it’s hell and we’re being tested. So buy a gun and be a man. Stop fucking around in your head. Get on your feet and breathe. Trust me, trust me please. If I had the courage I’d finally be free. No one left to stop me from saying what I believe, no hiding in between – OH PLEASE, you don’t control the future. Despite what you can see you can’t conceive of anything. You’re outdated, mutilated and dying in the sun. Humiliated, unmotivated – that’s all they want. Get straight and behave until we blot out the sun. And that’s what they want you to think, but hold on and have a family. It will feel like eternity, but that’s what life is – it’s hell and we’re being tested. So buy a gun and be a man. Stop fucking around in your head. Get on your feet and breathe. Trust me, trust me please. Only you can work to change it.

Ice cream, weak sunscreen, and bleached blue jeans. A shocker, straight-talker that will make you scream. Margaritas, lolitas, low self-esteem. I’ll show you my body on livestream. Pay tuition. Pay a mortgage. Stay healthy. Buy a pistol. Hit the crystal – now we’re living free. Life’s a chorus. Philip Morris. The DNC – an aberration, demonstration of self-loathing fixation. When all the other kids get their way. We’ll find another way to play the game. Autumn in a cup. Out of luck. Can’t seem to control me. Folly is a curse. – you’re just the worst. Can’t seem to find my keys. The heat is on max to hide my tracks I’m just biding some time. Time is running out so act now while our supplies last. You gotta take what you want, oh you gotta take. No debate – get it straight, just take. Each night you hide away all the pretty demons you found that day. Each beat of your aging heart keeps you awake, awake – it’s more than you can take. You’ve got to keep it all in line. Have yourself some wine. Believe in all the lies broadcast from the skies. Computers in our eyes, entangled in our lives feeding us some pie – feeling so alive! Failing intuition. Failing school systems. Failing sex with women. Failing’s our decision. Have some reparations. Make your preparations. You’re overly polite – our peoples only blight. You’re leaning to the right and scared of being white. Your friends are all like. You never even tried. No kids? No wife? No life? All right… It doesn’t have to be this way. You gotta take what you want. Oh, you gotta take. No debate – get it straight – just take.

A cold black moon in the middle. My mother’s bones are now brittle. I remember when I was little - we would both cling to our bottles. And that’s how it goes – it comes and goes. Yeah we both know we’re broke – we are broke. Now that I’m old, my pockets have too much to hold. I’m out of control now that I’ve broken from the mold. And I try to tell myself I can find balance in life - but all too often I find myself fighting the tide. And that’s how it goes – it comes and goes. Yeah we both know we’re broke - we are broke. You get what you get. You get what you get. You get what you get — is what you get. (Don’t get upset) I’ve been trying to reason with God and with time. Have children, be with them and all will be fine. Go home to your wife, make love in your bed, remember the good times (cause soon you’ll be dead!) They’ll bury your memory and poison the well. Come down the river – we’re going to hell. Be patient, be honest, and put others first. Be giving, forgiving, and best at your worst. Words at the surface that sound like virtue, but bleed out our soul instead of renew. The world we live in is nasty and cruel, and only the fittest and meanest can rule. I already know – I already know that that’s how it goes – it comes and goes. Yeah, we both know we’re broke – we are broke.

They say an action causes reaction – open up your collar and breathe, then get to work. Disregard feelings and give it to me – make my life have some meaning. And it’s not hard to laugh when all of it comes right back to bite us in the ass. I tried to make myself cry but when it came down to it I don’t think that I passed. Oh well I guess… Well do you get me? Let me speak clearly: “There’s no pity, there’s no crime – there is just wasted time.” I know your mama tried – I bet your papa tried too. That doesn’t mean that you should to. Some come and get me, cause I am on the loose. Better double check behind you. Isn’t it about time? Don’t you ever apologize – they’ll try and fry you alive. You have to live free or die, or die, or die. There’s no pity, there’s no crime – there’s no incoming springtime. It’s as if it’s by design - there is just wasted time.

Fucked up and you don’t even know it yet. You’ve got a date with a girl named ‘bedrest’. You’re lighting up like it’s the Fourth of July – “Hey look at this guy!” You come around and you’re acting so full of it. Keep acting like you’re preaching at the pulpit. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are toast, toast, toast. I’m keeping cool when my patience is brittle. I’m trying hard not to shame or belittle. Been acting out since I was little – I’m so, so through. Every night you keep your phone right by your bedside. Keep it close ‘cause of how it makes you feel inside (it’s not right). We’ll all make it into summer. Last week you found your grandfathers Rosary. Before he died he came to believe. You never did, but you told him you would – it’s time to make good. Acting sweet, just so you can get by. Surrounded by the folks who want you dead or alive. You’re gonna blow like it’s the Fourth of July. DIE, DIE, DIE. Wait – it’s okay. You’re nearly 23 and you haven’t given up – is that enough? Is it enough? Say it’ll be okay. I’m nearly 23 and I’ve all but given up. Three shots to the head and the center. Where the first three go more will enter. They’ll try and diagnose my condition – put in the keys, turn the ignition. One more day.

CLOSER: You’re tied up bare, unaware – chewing through the ropes but you ain’t getting nowhere. Keeping cool when it’s getting so hot. They’re coming for you, whether you’re ready or not. Never forget what they took from you. No, never forget what they took from you. We’re all here just floating along mumbling the same old tired pop songs. Killing all art is all of the rage. Act your part ‘cause the world’s a stage – it’s a plague. Never forget what they took from you. No, never forget what they took from you. Don’t go questioning it now – you’ve been outclassed, coupe de grasse, the ruling class, a black mass… will this pass? Will this pass? Will this pass? CLOSURE: Come down the river. The time is up for your children’s children. We’ll sell you down the river. I’ll take the devils hand as he commands. I follow all of his demands. The devils master plan. If you want to exist without the guilt of the past, then you gotta do something that we know will last. You’ve got to listen and believe in order to be free you’ve gotta pick all the fruit from your family tree, go to college, get a job, forget all about your ‘God’ – the Federal Reserve can create endlessly. You can have everything you want not tomorrow but today – one condition, one condition, one condition he will say – “Come down the river. The time is up all you little children. We’ll sell you down the river.” I’ll take the devil’s hand as he demands. I’ll follow all of his commands. The devil’s master plan. You get what you get. Come down the river. If we give in and let this moment pass, there’s no knowing if we will last. Try to believe – do anything. Don’t hide away behind your cell phone screen. Show you’re alive. Show you’re alive. Show them that we were meant to survive. You gotta take what you want – oh, you gotta take. We’ve been lax since ancestors grasp saved the west from it’s dying gasp. Time will tell to a final degree if we let ourselves fail or we worked to succeed. Come down the river. The time is up all you little children. We’ll sell you down the river. I’ll take the devil’s hand as he demands. I’ll follow all of his commands. The devils master plan. It’s up to us to seize the day. No body else here to blame. We can all keep floating along to this song, to this song. If we try and it doesn’t work out, it will give us a clue as to what our lives’ about. No one can stop you but you. No one can stop you but you. It’s all good now. “Come down the river.” - Only you can work to change it.

Go Home Late 02:49
It’s bittersweet to see the sun go down. Now can’t be beat ‘til the summer turns the fall: The smell of the grove, the air when we drove – I sucked down deep. Gas is cheap. The tent is stowed. How far can we go? Come feel the heat of the fire. Your morning skin is pink and fair. When the early fog fills the air, it’s making something sweet. Your father’s mother’s wedding dress looks like the picture by the bed of where your parents sleep. And it will always be… A golden halo in your window. You love to see the snow knee deep. It was twelve years ago I let you know I feel the heat of the fire. It’s bitter sweet to see the sun go down.
